Artritis reumatoide

Rheumatoid arthritis is a form of arthritis where the immune system attacks the bones, causing inflammation, chronic pain, swelling, weakness and stiffness in the joints. People with rheumatoid arthritis may also suffer from another autoimmune disorder, as well as insomnia, fatigue and weight loss.

Cannabinoids have been shown to be useful for autoimmune disorders of all sorts due to their ability to reduce inflammation by downregulating cytokine production. This applies to rheumatic diseases as well, where animal models have shown that cannabinoids could be useful in treating chronic pain associated with RA.
